Dear Damon,

Whitelisting with spamassassin is not done on an IP basis. I can do it
with my MTA but then it will open a gateway for spammers who spoof IP's
to send spam.

If you experience problems with individual mailing lists, send one to me
(xxx@sun.ac.za) as you would to a normal customer. I then can try
and make some adjustments according to the headers.

There is no reason beforehand. If however your email have a lot of
characteristics common with those of spam there might be cases where a
problem can arise.
