Me too. Lots of good answers, from lots of good people, from all around the world.

Greetings from Houston Texas, where I founded mail-list^® in 1995, to help other people resolve their obscure questions.

And I owe a great deal of gratitude to all of the people that have helped me over the years. I’ve been online since 1980, on the Internet since 1993, and I’m continually amazed by all the great information that people provide for free. And I wonder how much more information I’m missing. And how much more was never even created, because it was too difficult, or too time consuming for the person who had knowledge in their head.

So my mission has been to help people communicate with like minded people. And that’s a pretty big mission for me, because I flunked Computer Science 102 in college. Twice.

So it’s only been with the generous help of lots of other programmers from around the world, that I’ve been able to put this system together. I’ve asked some of the most stupid questions imaginable, and everybody on the email lists has been kind and considerate. Total strangers who took time out of their day, to share their knowledge and expertise with me. And for other people that followed me with the same sort of question.

I’m not a privacy nut, but I am concerned about all the information that many companies are gathering on people on the sly. There is not any tracking of people on my system. We only send out plain text emails, so it’s impossible to know if your message was opened. And the only data we store is the email addresses of your members, so that we can deliver the email. We are not selling nor renting, nor using these email addresses in any way, shape or form. We don’t collect and sell the demographic data of your list members. We charge money for operating your list, and that is the only money we make.

So if you are looking to put a community together, of like minded people, that help each other out with their knowledge and wisdom, you have come to the right place. Because I’ve built an easy to use, affordable system that helps you become a successful group leader.

Everybody gets emails and everybody knows how to send email, so anybody can participate in your group. So people will receive the messages to your list, and can easily reply to share their knowledge.
